Middle Education
It's time to demand more from
hem and encourage responsibility.
Rigor, curiosity, self-discipline, and teamwork.
During this stage, we aim for them to adapt to a more serious and subject-specific workload. Additionally, we work on values alongside families, so they become responsible individuals who are aware of their freedom.
More information

- 2 breaks throughout the day
- 7 teaching hours The subjects of English, French, Art, Music, Theater and Science (laboratories) are taught in small groups of 12 students per teacher.
Lesson activities
We emphasize the study of various subjects
The Humanities help students get to know themselves and develop historical awareness; Mathematics promotes reasoning and the ability to abstract; Sciences offer an understanding of the world and the ability to transform it; Languages are tools for participation in the world: we give special importance to debate, oral and written expression; English continues to have a very high teaching load (1 hour a day) and we introduce French (3 hours a week); We do not neglect the Arts or Physical Education (one hour a day), since they cultivate imagination and body awareness.
We promote students' ability to direct their own learning
Through observation, experimentation, reflection and dialogue.
Evaluation is still a process
We evaluate our students day by day. For us, everything counts: attitude, class contributions, notes, teamwork... However, we are also concerned about preparing them for their university and professional future, which is why we also introduce exams, as tests they face. individually. We also take advantage of this stage to, in addition to the qualitative reports that all teachers make, introduce numerical grades.
We promote responsibility through concrete actions
Such as caring for younger companions (for example, older people help them get on the funicular) and collaborations with institutions.
Montiba Student Association
It offers a space to develop projects to improve the environment and promote cooperation between students and the school.
We use technology as a support tool
We make tablets and computers available to students and teachers so that they can use them when the content of the subjects requires it. Our goal is for them to learn to be responsible with technology and know how to detect what information is relevant from all the information they have available on the Internet. We control and organize the days so that they use these resources in a balanced way.
